Young Citizens of Rwanda Life Organisation (YCRL) is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in Rwanda. It was established in 2017 with the aim of enabling poor and vulnerable youth and to take part in our Gift Of Education (GOE) programme, and where appropriate, to learn valuable life skills. Young Citizens of Rwanda (YCR) was established as a charity in 2009 following several years of supporting survivors of the 1994 Genocide in which it is estimated that over 1 million Rwandan men, women, boys and girls were slaughtered in a matter of 100 days.

YCR is in Rwanda to influence and prepare young people who are determined to put their tragic past behind them and build a strong future for their country. A future free from tribal hatred.

Young Citizens of Rwanda offers practical and realistic support to orphaned, poor and vulnerable youth and children by:
I. enabling students to complete their formal education and/or vocational training
ii. providing networking opportunities and in-house training
iii. giving guidance and 'moving on' support
iv. social intervention

YCR's ultimate goal is that once destitute and lost children will grow into fine young citizens of Rwanda who have studied hard, become independent and are equipped to produce something amazing and sustainable for themselves and their future families.
